| Description: |
You will be directly involved in the non-destructive examination and testing of repairs and alterations to pressure systems in accordance with the Integrity Management System at the site.
„« Conduct NDE inspections, recertify equipment and maintain records of boilers, vessels, pressure piping and PSV¡¦s per regulatory codes and in-house registered owner/user programs.
„« Assist in defining inspection requirements and scopes by taking an active role and inter-facing with Engineering, Maintenance, Operations and Planning.
„« Monitor Contractor repairs and alterations to ensure compliance to their Quality Control Program, Code and Jurisdictional requirements.
„« Review drawings, specifications and work scopes to determine the quality, inspection and procedure requirements for the job and ensure development of Inspection and Test Plans specific to each job.
„« Ensure the correct preparation and issuance of welding procedures and welding data sheets, determination of weld quality and welders qualification to be required Welding Procedure Specification and welding records.
„« Conduct analysis of failed equipment determining root cause, recommend solutions and tracking of follow-ups.
„« Scope and implement Asset Integrity surveys and in-service inspections.

| Qualifications: |
„« Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials or Welding Engineering or Technology program.
„« Minimum 5 years experience within a power generation, refining or petrochemical plant in service pressure vessel and piping inspections.
„« Membership in APEGGA or ASET or eligible for membership in APEGGA or ASET within 1 year of employment.
„« National Board Certification required or achieved within 1 year of employment.
„« Other certification which would be considered an asset are CWB Level II Welding Inspector, API-510, API-570, API-653 and CGSB Level II certification, (UT/RT/MT/PT).
„« Must be a team player.
„« Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
„« Must be physically able to perform the work involved, including successful completion of an eye examination
